- Hi! We are Quinn and Shane Norris. We started Turn a Page ~ Book a Kid because we love to read. But not all kids have the chance. When Quinn was younger, she was in the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) for a week. Quinn had surgery for a brain tumor and luckily she didn't need to stay in the hospital too long. But lots of kids do stay at CHOP for a long time. Hospitals and doctor offices do important work, but they are boring to kids. And CHOP also helps lots of kids that are in need, and can't afford books. We are helping Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with the "Reach Out and Read" program. These books will also go to kids in areas where they don't have much money to buy books. We're collecting any children's books - new or gently used.
